DAMPAINT (F-1000) high solid water-based adhesive elastic vibration damping paint. Different from the conventional damping material, DAMPAINT (F-1000) is a kind of low-density product, which has high damping performance on the premise of low dry film weight. With the vibration absorption, viscosity (energy dissipation) and spring (energy storage) characteristics, the vibration energy is absorbed into the material and converted into the heat.
The product has unique optimised formula, and all parameters are superior to the similar products. The special vibration damping property increases quick drying performance, usability, environment-protection performance and fire resistance.
The product effectively reduces the resonance, ensures that the resonance effect is reduced and the transmission loss is increased, obviously controls the resonant frequency of the raw base material and improves the sound reduction index.

DAMPAINT (F-1000) is a highly adhesive product specially customized for the base materials which are difficult to adhere such as plain lead, so as to provide sufficient basic surface treatment.
Clear all dust, dirts, oil, grease, rust, release agent, etc. on the surface.
Clean the surface with the wire brush. It is suggested to use grinding sand and abrasive paper to polish the surface.
The proper degreasing scheme is adopted to degrease the surface.
It is suggested to spray primer on the surface of the iron base plate to prevent thin rust.
Before use, the product must be completely mixed up. If agitator are used, the product must be mixed until it is smooth, pure white and consistent.
If necessary, the product can be added with 0.3% water to change viscosity.
The construction temperature is over 15℃ , and the metal temperature is more than 10℃ .
Under cold conditioning, the base plate can keep dry and warm.
Forced ventilation is conducive to coating drying, and air should move in or out in the drying process.
Application of spraying: air-free and air spraying system (see the back page).
Application of brush: we suggest that the product be added with 0.3% water per kilogram. It will help to use easily and be smooth in the application. The nylon brush with the thickness of 100 mm is used to load the sound insulation paint and brush shortly. The application layer thickness is about 2-3mm to avoid coating back and forth to get thinning.
Application of roller: we suggest that product be added with 0.3% water per kilogram. It will help to use easily and be smooth in the application.
Application of short rag rolling wheel: the ways of rolling, short brushing and transverse rolling on the wall surface are adopted to cause thinning. Gentle brushing is adopted for the leakage part.
F2000 damping is a kind of high viscoelastic damping materials. Under a certain stress state, it has the characteristic of energy consumption as viscous fluid and energy storage as elastic solid material at the same time. It performs excellently in vibration insulation as it is non-toxic, non-flammable, safe and reliable because it does not contain soluble agent and has the property of heat insulation.
Most water-based damping paint is just used on metal materials. While the developed F2000 can be spaying on nonmetal material without delaminating, cracking, coming off or flowing when it is wet by 3mm as it has been more flexible and adhesive through formula improvement.
Under the effect of sound wave, the F2000 will also play its damping performance causing the loss of sound energy, namely sound absorbing effect.
When sheet materials like plywood, hard board, gypsum board, asbestos cement are fixed onto a frame, together with closed air layer behind, they will be formed into resonating system. If there’s any motivated source, resonating phenomenon is bound to happen. In this system, resonance frequency is effected by proportion and tension of unit plank, and the air layer behind them. But in engineering practice, it’s really difficult to control the tension because it will be reduced as time goes by. Especially for nonmetal materials which are much less ductile than that of metal ones, they will be damaged permanently, shortening their life of usage. In this case, F2000 can absorb mechanical vibration energy and reduce the amplitude significantly when it is fully attached and deformed together with planks.

F2000 is usually 1.5 to 2 times as thick as the substrate, related to amount, size and thickness of their materials used .The F2000 weight needed w(Unit: kg) is calculated as
W = density x coating area x (substrate thickness x substrate thickness factor -1)
